PUTERI NUR AMYLIA BINTI SHAMSIL ARIFEEN

She brings to the table of substantive criminal & civil general litigation, corporate advisory and conveyancing experiences. Puteri graduated from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in 2019 with Second Class Upper Division of CGPA. Upon reading in chambers at Messrs. Azri & Co, Puteri was called to the bar & admitted as an advocate & solicitor on 21st February 2020. After called to the bar, she pursued her career as Legal Associate.

She has an opportunity to practise on a broad spectrum of areas of law, Puteri is well versed in many areas of law and her expertise includes the following:-

  • Criminal litigation

During her tenure as a litigator, she has conducted the several remand proceedings at Dang Wangi’s lockup, Kuala Lumpur Central Lockup, Jinjang, Mahkamah Majistret Ampang, Mahkamah Majistret Petaling Jaya, Mahkamah Majistret Klang which involved several matters which to include matters under section 39B Dangerous Drugs Act, section 420 of Penal Code, section 375 of Penal Code. She also has conducted several bail applications and mitigation applications during her tenure as a litigator and she has also served under the Legal Aid program of Kuala Lumpur Bar during her pupillage at Kuala Lumpur’s Magistrate Courts.

She is also experienced in handling trials and has a vast experienced in attending mentions at Court involving general crimes and sexual crimes against children. She has appeared in the Court of Appeal as watching brief counsel, the High Courts as well as the subordinate courts in the course of her duties as a litigator.

She possesses knowledge in handling criminal litigation and able to write up her submissions, representation and strategize on trials;

  • Civil Litigation

Puteri is also equipped with a wealth experiences in handling dispute resolutions in civil or commercial disputes.  The area of dispute includes a broad spectrum of civil litigation such as breach of contracts, good sold and delivered claims, personal injury, negligence, divorce, employment disputes and other legal and equitable relief from the Court.

Puteri has appeared in the Court of Appeal, the High Courts the subordinate courts, industrial court as well as department of labor in the course of her duties while representing individual clients, corporate clients which include bank.

  • Conveyancing & Corporate Advisory

Puteri is also experienced in drafting Sale and Purchase Agreements in relation to real property, commercial development and land, tenancy agreements, deeds of gift and assisting on banking facilities documentation. She is also experienced in drafting and assisting client in writing of wills, deed of gifts, company policies, employment contract.
